Expertly Planned Itineraries with Authentic Experiences
We’ve spent years researching our itineraries, local partners, and lodging choices. Our goal is to not only meet your needs but exceed your expectations. Approximately 20% of the students on our study tours have travelled with us before and come back for another great experience! Our expertise at arranging study tours and other international experiences are a tangible part of all of our international programs.
Our local partners’ input is also clearly evident. We consult them when crafting our itineraries, we visit them while we are “in-country,” and - best of all - they travel with us while you are on your journey. The result is that you experience a place through the eyes of someone who knows it intimately. Together with our local partners, we take care of all of the logistics and details so that you can fully immerse yourself in the places you are exploring.
ICEE has been exploring the planet for nearly a decade and our network of local partners and contacts across the globe is vast. In some areas, we have become an integral part of the community. We not only know all of our local tour partners professionally, we know them personally as well. This maximizes the authenticity of the experiences of students in our academic programs.
The result is that we are able to tap into these local resources to create unique and exciting travel opportunities for our students. Each of our trips builds on outdoor activities like hiking, snorkeling, scuba diving, cooking with locals, or glacier trekking, as well as immersion in the local community. Prior to your adventure, we will also send you materials to help you prepare for your trip - packing lists, journals, fleece jackets, and more. To make our innovative trips possible, we make all of the arrangements for our study tours “in-house” and we are thus able to deliver innovative, safe, and fun expeditions all around the world.
We use well located and comfortable accommodations which we select for their excellent quality, location, and character. On most programs, we stay in small hostels, hotels, unique bush camps, ship cabins, and other unique accommodations that directly contribute to your learning experience. We look at our accommodation choices as an important part of the your adventure. For example, on our Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos tours you’ll sleep in riverside cottages and on our Fiji tours in buses on the beach.
